Creamy Italian Chicken Sausage Pasta
This easy weeknight pasta dish featuring Italian chicken sausage is bursting with flavor and comes together in just 30 minutes!

white cooking wine
(or a dry white wine)
(packed in oil), drained
chopped, plus extra for garnish
plus 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
shredded, plus extra for garnish
salt and pepper
Cook pasta according to package instructions.
Slice sausages into rounds.
Add olive oil to a pan over medium heat and when heated add sausage and mushrooms. Let brown, stirring occasionally, about 8 minutes.
Add garlic and let cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Add white wine, Dijon mustard and flour. Stir until reduced by about half.
Add the heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes and lemon juice. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add spinach and basil. Let cook for a minute or so until it wilts.
Add cooked pasta to pan and stir to combine.
Remove from heat and add cheese. Stir until melted. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Garnish with additional basil and Parmesan.
