Taco Pizza combines two favorites for the perfect easy meal! This recipe is made using crescent roll dough for a tasty meal everyone will love!
My easy crescent roll taco pizza recipe starts with a baked crescent dough crust that gets topped with sour cream, salsa, and taco beef. Then I add a layer of lettuce, followed by cheese, tomatoes, green onions, black olives, and a jalapeño ranch dressing drizzle. It’s a crowd-pleasing sheet pan dinner!
Crescent Roll Pizza Ingredients
You only need a few ingredients for this easy crescent roll recipe:
- Easy homemade pizza dough: AKA crescent rolls – you’ll need one 8 ounce can
- Taco meat: You’ll need a pound of lean ground beef, taco seasoning mix, and water
- Creamy toppings: sour cream and salsa
- Lettuce of choice: such as shredded iceberg (I used a bagged butter lettuce mix from Fresh Express)
- Shredded cheese: I like to use the “fiesta” or “Mexican” varieties
- Veggies: cherry tomatoes, green onions, and sliced black olives
- Ranch dressing: to make a creamy drizzle topping for your Mexican pizza (Litehouse Jalapeño Ranch is perfect!)
How to Make Crescent Roll Taco Pizza
Here are the steps for my easy pizza recipe:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Unroll crescent dough onto a baking sheet for your super easy pizza dough. Pinch the seams together to make one smooth sheet. Bake for 6-8 minutes until golden.
- In a large skillet, brown beef, crumbling as you go. When cooked through, drain the meat. Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer until heated through.
- Top crescent roll crust with sour cream, then salsa, then beef mixture.
- Top with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, green onions, black olives, and drizzle with ranch dressing.
What to Serve with Taco Pizza
Taco pizza is a full meal on its own since it has bread, meat, salad, and veggies. It can also be an appetizer (just cut it into smaller portions) or a potluck or shower dish. For sides, I think a fruit salad would be a nice addition or a fun dessert to serve after like my 10-Minute Banana Pudding, Caramel Apple Cake, or Pig Pickin’ Cake.
I hope you love this recipe as much as my family and I do! I love recipes for crescent dough sheets because they usually simplify the recipe and add a unique texture. I like to use them as a base for breakfast casseroles and even desserts! You could easily make this into a crescent roll veggie pizza by leaving off the meat or replacing it with a meatless version.
